The Village Hall Association (EVHA), in conjunction with individual clubs, organises and promotes many Village functions and activities throughout the year for the benefit of everyone in the community. These include events such as Country Games; Conker Bash; Quizzes; Garden Party; Concerts; Stage shows.

The facility hosts many regular weekly activities including Playgroup; Badminton; Tennis; Short Mat Bowls; Dog training and Yoga..

Under the auspices of Kent Adult Education, the Village hall has a well-equipped Adult Learning Centre. Details of the Learning Centre, and of the current courses offered, can be found by clicking on the EVH Learning Centre button or by clicking here.

EVHA has some wonderful sports facilities adjoining the hall. The sports covered, and full details concerning the use of the facilities and how to join the EVHA Sports Club, can be found by contacting us. Please click here.

The hall and its facilities can be hired from the EVHA for private functions, and you can find out about charges, and make a booking, by clicking here.

Membership of the Village Hall Association is by the modest annual subscription of £5. By belonging to the Association, members contribute to the development of the hall, and have the use of its many facilities at discounted rates.

To assist EVHA Council members with the practical help necessary to organise and run various fund raising and maintenance functions, we keep a register of volunteers who can be called upon an occasional Ad Hoc basis. If you or any members of your family would like to register as on of our ‘Helping Hands’, we would be delighted to hear from you, please click here.

EVHA has available some very interesting and useful publications; these range from copies of the famous Elham Collage; Walk Cards that guide you through some of the delightful countryside walks accessible from the village, to ‘Past & Present’, a colourful book of past and present memories of the Village. For details on how to obtain these please click here.

The present village hall was funded by the Millennium Fund and opened in 1999 to replace the 60 year old building (which started life as two Army huts). A detailed history of the events that led to the construction of the present building are presented elsewhere on this website

Lastly, by pressing Contact Us, you can gain access to the contact details of a number of useful people in the village who will be able to help you with your any enquiries. I hope that you find this website useful and trust that you will come to see why we, in Elham are so proud of our wonderful village hall. Why not drop by and see for yourselves.
